Terms of participation

Registration and Payment

Entries will only be accepted upon payment of the entry fee of €100. The list of participants is updated on the Caniva event page. Registration closes on 20 October 2026. The entry fee is paid through the Caniva registration system.

Registered participants who are unable to take part in the event (e.g. for health or other reasons) will not receive a refund of the entry fee. The entry fee will instead be donated to the event organisation.

If CACIT Netherlands cancels the event due to force majeure, part of the entry fee will be used to cover costs already incurred. The remaining amount will be refunded to the participant.

General Rules

Only dogs from FCI member countries that meet the requirements for participation in IGP competitions may take part in this competition.

Dogs compete in the IGP3 class, on the condition that the dog has passed at least one IGP2 (IPO2) trial.

All participants are required to comply with animal welfare legislation during the competition. The use of correction aids (prong collars, electronic collars, etc.) is strictly prohibited. All participants are expected to observe the rules of good sportsmanship throughout the competition. Violation of the above obligations will result in immediate disqualification from the competition.

Every dog must be clearly identifiable by a tattoo number or microchip and must have a valid international pet passport.

Only participants who submit their entry before the second deadline may take part in the competition.e deadline indienen, kunnen deelnemen aan de wedstrijd.

The handler/owner is responsible for any damage caused by the dog. Basic hygiene rules must be observed, especially with regard to cleaning up after the dog.

The organisation is not responsible for injury, loss or death of dogs.

During the event, all handlers/owners/keepers must keep their dogs secured to prevent dogs attacking each other or injuring people. They are also fully responsible for any damage or injury caused by their unsecured dogs.

Participants must follow the organisers' instructions during the event.

Participants must attend the closing ceremony.

The maximum number of participants is 120. If more applications are received, the date on which the organisation receives the application will be decisive.

Protests are only permitted on formal grounds concerning a violation of the rules. The judge's decision is final.

Veterinaire voorwaarden

All participating dogs must be clinically healthy.

The international vaccination certificate must show a valid vaccination against rabies.

All participants are required to attend the veterinary inspection within the specified time. A dog that does not pass the veterinary inspection will automatically be disqualified from the competition.

Female dogs in season must be reported during the inspection and must be kept away from the competition area and the surrounding areas.
